Aruba Transfers is a start-up founded and based in Aruba in 2008 by ambitous and passionate locals. In a continious effort to enhance service, email, Facebook and Twitter are used to maintain contact with customers.
The founders' backgrounds go way back with decades of experience in the hospitality and finance fields. Partners are equally experienced and all hand-picked. Busses are clean, well-maintained, insured, technically approved, have wicked cold air-conditioning and have nice drivers.
Aruba Transfers has been operating since late 2008 and served thousands (including repeat visitors), who commonly find this service through search engines or word of mouth. The focus is to serve medium sized groups (6-12 passengers), however, other groups (from couples to 50+ passengers) are served as well.

1. What's the difference between you and the other companies/services?
2. Why do you work with cash-only?
Up to early 2011 we still accepted regular credit card transactions, however it wasn't working anymore. Insane hikes in fees by local banks was the last straw and we refused to pass down this increase to our customers. Instead, we went all-cash, this way keeping our prices competitive.
There isn't a day that goes by we are looking to automate the whole process, however, for a small island travel business it's hard, not to say impossible, to get an e-commerce merchant solution. We've tried everywhere, such as US banks directly, Paypal, Alertpay, Moneybookers etc. etc. Apparently the system doesn't differentiate between a legitimate company and otherwise.
By the way we still have the point of sale to process credit cards which we now ONLY use in case of NO SHOWS. Fortunately this never happens, thus the machine is sitting sadly in a corner somewhere eating dust in our office.
3. Can I pay half at arrival and half at departure?
Payment must be due in full upon arrival. We want to avoid extra administrative work (extra work and extra cost equals price increase), extra logistical work (approaching each driver takes too much time and extra work and extra cost which means price increase), reserved capacity (we work with limited capacity which we reserve for paying customers). We keep it simple, which translates to lower operational cost, which then translates to competitive prices for our customers.
4. What equipment do you use anyway?
Island-wide popular Hyundai County buses (max. 24 pax). Sometimes Toyota Coaster as well.
5. Is the service private?
Yes! Your group will be transported exclusively and discretely (just FYI).
6. My group is small, can I hire you?
Yes you can. We have a minimum charge, but if you don't mind this you're in. Many couples have gone before you.
7. Can you handle a lot of luggage?
Yes we can. We have enough space. If necessary we add a luggage vehicle. If that's not enough - if required - will even hire a truck to haul all the luggage.
8. Are you new?
What's new? We've been moving visitors since 2008 using this platform. However, we have a longer track record in the hospitality industry and our partners even longer. Read more in the About section.
9. Is your booking form secure?
Yes it is. We use the latest technologies in order to send all sensitive information encrypted over the internet.
10. Are you affiliated to the airport/restaurants/hotels?
No. Aruba Transfers is privately owned and completely independent. We are not affiliated to Aruba airport, restaurants or hotels.
11. How do I cancel and do I have to give a reason?
To cancel go to the Cancel Here in the bottom of the page. And no, you don't have to give up a reason. Just remember to view the cancelation policy.
12. What if I arrive at the airport and nobody is there to pick me up?
In this unlikely scenario you should contact us by calling the telephone number provided to you in the confirmation email. Follow instructions. Although we pride ourselves for having a timely and an industry high-rated performance, according to our Terms of Service, we are allowed a timeframe of maximum 15 minutes to correct any error we might have committed. On the flip side, in case your flight has hours and hours of delay we will wait for your arrival, regardless, at NO extra cost, even if the delay should keep us there all day and/or night long.
